Oppo Challenges iPhone 17 with Find X9 Reveal, Confirms Massive 7,500mAh Battery

In a bold strategic move just a day after Apple’s massive iPhone 17 event, an Oppo executive has taken to social media to reveal key details of the upcoming Find X9 series, firing a direct shot at the competition. The teasers confirm class-leading battery specs and a host of innovative features, setting the stage for a major flagship battle this fall.

A New Benchmark for Battery Endurance

Oppo is aiming to completely redefine battery expectations in the flagship space. Company executive Zhou Yibao confirmed that the top-tier Oppo Find X9 Pro will be equipped with a gargantuan 7,500mAh battery. Even the smaller Find X9 will pack an impressive 7,025mAh power cell.

Despite this massive capacity, the Find X9 Pro will maintain a sleek profile at just 8.25mm thick. While official weights are pending, trusted leaker Digital Chat Station suggests the Pro will weigh 224g, with the standard X9 coming in at a lighter 203g and measuring 7.99mm thick.

Refined Design and an Innovative Display

The Find X9 series will feature a sophisticated flat-edge design, with both models sporting flat displays. Oppo is touting its “cold carving” manufacturing technology and a new hero color called “Titanium,” though the chassis is expected to be aluminum.

A key focus is the display technology. The series is set to feature the thinnest, most symmetrical screen bezels on any phone to date (rumored to be just 1.1mm). Beyond aesthetics, the screen is engineered for comfort, incorporating advanced eye protection and even a unique mode designed to reduce motion sickness for sensitive users.

ColorOS 16, Performance, and Camera Hints

In a surprising move of ecosystem interoperability, the phones will debut with ColorOS 16, which features native support for Apple accessories. The executive demonstrated this by seamlessly pairing Apple’s new AirPods 4 with a Find X9.

While the official teaser focused on design and battery, reliable leaks paint a picture of the internal powerhouse. Both the Find X9 and X9 Pro are expected to run on the upcoming MediaTek Dimensity 9500 chipset and support 80W fast wired charging. Other rumored upgrades include a switch to more secure ultrasonic fingerprint readers and the addition of a new customizable smart key called the “Plus key.”

Camera details are being kept under wraps—with the executive cheekily obscuring the camera module in photos to discredit inaccurate leaks. However, rumors suggest a formidable setup:

The official unveiling of the Oppo Find X9 series is expected to take place in October.
